ROBERT KŘESŤAN & DRUHÁ TRÁVA 35 LET & MICHAL PAVLÍČEK (CZECH REPUBLIC)
THIRTY-FIVE YEARS ON STAGE AND SEVENTY YEARS ON THE NECK CAN BE A GOOD REASON TO ENJOY A CONCERT TOGETHER
A LEGENDARY BAND PLUS A LEGENDARY GUITARIST IS AN EXPERIENCE IN A DIFFERENT WAY.
The long-standing amazement over the meeting of Americana and modern bluegrass classics with a rock legend has faded, but the joy of being able to be with him again doesn't take anything away, and we probably don't even need to explain that. They don't play together that often anymore. When it comes to seventy, the iconic guitarist is already at the finish line, but Robert Křesťan is also getting closer to it, both of which unanimously confirm that age is really just a number and when the muses continue to generously wish you well and you still have a lot of questions about life, there's really no time to dwell on it. "In my opinion, even in old age, one should try to look into the future, even though it can of course be short, it can be sad, but it can also be cheerful and happy. I try to enjoy old age to the fullest," said Michal Pavlíček in an interview for Headliner magazine after this year's release of their great new album Na obzoru.
Druhá tráva has meanwhile kicked off the 35th anniversary celebrations on stage on tour with Grammy-winning American singer and multi-instrumentalist Tim O'Brien and is slowly looking forward to the November peak at Prague's O2 Universum, their biggest concert to date. Michal Pavlíček, who sold it out twice in January, will surely have something to say about this. And what can we expect from them at Folkové prázdniny? We apologize, no one can take such a question seriously, but if you insist on an answer, here it is: a shared joy in music. Hopefully that's clear.
