IF IT IS FROM THE HEART, THERE IS NOTHING TO BE WORRIED ABOUT
A little more and it will be half a century since Jiří Pavlica has been leading Hradistan. In that time they have transformed together into a renaissance institute of Moravian folk music, holding on to the conviction that if it is from the heart, there is nothing to fear.
Hardly anyone can count how many times Hradistan has played at Folk Festival. It doesn't really matter, though, since it is always known in advance that it will make many visitors happy. It is probably not necessary to remind you of what Jiří Pavlica and Hradištěan have achieved, with whom they have collaborated, the length of the world they have travelled and what they mean for Moravian folk music, for which they have trodden so many new paths and brought so many followers. We are not an encyclopaedia and, frankly, is there anyone else who doesn't know that?
What is certain is that they remain a beacon of all that can be good in a people so respectful and loving of the music inherited from their ancestors. But they've never stopped to push it further, to artistically fluff it up with presence and package it in a delicious package for generations after them to unwrap.
