For years, the singer and actress with the evocative smoky voice has been proving what soul-searching chanson is to her: a confession, a therapy for sadness and the joy of the ordinary, and poetry learned from life; words that you want to sink into more and more with each listen. She sings mostly about love, and when it comes down to it, into love multiplied into Sevenfold. That's why she is one of the most prominent personalities of chanson not only in Slovakia, but also in our country, where she is often - and rightly, not just for the sake of it - associated with the name of the incomparable Hana Hegerová.
She has a great band behind her, with which Szidi Tobias is said to still want to play, sing and perform. And to write new songs, so we won't give away any secrets: we might see her new, long-awaited album at Folk Holidays.
