ANA CARLA MAZA (CUBA)
EXTRAORDINARY CELLIST WITH A FLOWER IN HER HAIR
MUSIC FOR THE CELLO, ALLURING VOICE, JAZZ, TANGO AND CUBAN
She is not even thirty years old, however, on her journey between Havana, Barcelona and Paris, she has become a jazz sensation with her extraordinary technique and voice. When she was studying in France she met her mentor, the inspirational cellist Vincent Segal and their collaboration began. It was Segal who found out that Ana is great at performing classical music as well as jazz, tango, Cuban rhythms and bossa nova. And because she has an extraordinary voice you can enjoy Latin rhythms, pop tunes, jazz harmonies and classical techniques. She sings in Spanish and French; her concerts are great shows accompanied by a lively band. She never forgets about her pre-concert ritual: before coming to the stage she dances on Cuban music in her dressing room.
